We've been open since 1987.  As director, I have more than 15 years experience working with children in the Headstart program, as a day care owner/provider, a school volunteer and as a mother of three.  I am a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, an independent group of early childhood specialists and educators who evaluate child care programs for excellence in the areas of health and safety, teacher/parent interactions, learning programs and children's activities.


OUR STAFF members are currently selected based on their training, experience and nurturing qualities.  Teachers have bachelor's or equivalent experience and regularly participate in continuing training.  Teachers specialize in age groups.  Caterpillar Class for two year olds has a curriculum design just for them.  Butterfly Class is mixed-age class of three to five year olds learning in groups based on developmental level, rather than age alone, so that children can learn at their own pace and from each other.  Pre-K prepares four and five year olds for a positive transition to Kindergarten.

SUNNY HILLS PARENTS  At Sunny hills Preschool we keep the doors of communication open wide.  We value the involvement of parents in our program either through classroom participation or by keeping in touch with the teachers.
